The other option is to do an absolutely endless amount of resets until you start Crovel with Survivalist on a run that has Hans, but that sounds like a really boring time.
You start the game as Zerk, as soon as you enter Wave 1, swap to Survivalist, remember not to try and use molotovs wave 1 since you don't have them. This isn't really a massive guide, more a step-by-step on new tech, when it's good, when it isn't, and what I haven't tried with it yet.
